Two residents from our residential home for adults with a learning disability near Skipton enjoyed a theatre trip recently to St. George’s Hall in Bradford to see the production of ‘A Salute To The 1940’s’. The production included singing, jokes and audience participation. Both our residents clapped and sang along to song tributes from singers such as Vera Lynn, Frank Sinatra, George Formby, Gracie Fields and The Andrew Sisters. One resident even had her picture taken with one of the Actors who played ‘George Formby’. A good time was had by all, but of course no theatre trip would be complete without having ice cream in the interval which went down a treat!
