On the 25th of October, Catholic Care’s resident thrills queen, Caroline, who lives in our residential home in Leeds, had a fantastic day out at Manchester Ifly, the home of indoor skydiving. The day started with lunch before the big flight (not sure if that was a good idea, but all was well!). Caroline had some training and joined a small group who had also booked the experience. She took to this like a duck to water!! Caroline was the only person to be allowed to fly high, which she loved and managed to skydive alone as well. She also had a go on the virtual reality skydive wearing VR goggles. Caroline’s choice….to jump out of a helicopter, over mountains from 10,000 feet!! What a great experience for her. Now she is ready to go for the real deal with Steve (the home’s Deputy Manager) at Skydive GB when the weather allows. What a privilege to care for someone with such a zest for life.
