Working with children in primary schools is a real joy for the team at Catholic Care; we work with children on a one to one basis often using play as a way of helping children explore their feelings. Often our workers are known across the whole of the school by children and staff, we are a real part of the school community.
A year 3 class were having an RE lesson in a school in Huddersfield just before they broke up for the summer holidays and were asked to write about their hopes and dreams. Whilst some wrote about becoming rich and famous one little boy wrote
“My hopes and dreams for myself are I can be part of the Catholic Care”
What great ambition! He also drew a lovely picture of himself in action.
