Holidaying in sunny Spain

John and Donald, two residents at Westhaven (Catholic Care’s Residential Home for adults with a learning disability), boarded a flight on 18th June from a wet Leeds Bradford airport and landed on the warm and sunny island of Fuerteventura.
After arriving at the villa in the early evening the first excitement was for John and Donald to pick their own bedrooms.
Both residents enjoyed having a swim in their own pool at the villa in the morning and enjoyed a well earned rest in the heat of the afternoon. In the evening a leisurely walk into town for a nice meal and a drink was the perfect end to the day.
During the holiday the weather was warm and sunny every day which both residents enjoyed, especially as they had left behind grey skies.
One of the highlights of the holiday was a boat trip which both residents really enjoyed especially as they had lunch on board. Donald also went on a jet ski which he thought was very exciting. John on the other hand enjoyed singing and dancing to the music and of course steering the boat.
On the final day staff cooked the residents a barbeque before getting a late flight back to Leeds Bradford Airport.
Both residents told staff they had really enjoyed the holiday.
