Support Worker (Children & Young People)

Catholic Care is a faith based charity providing care and support to people of all faiths and none. The Charity also employs people of all faiths and none.

We are looking to appoint two caring Child Support Workers to join our passionate and experienced team in this important role. The role will involve supporting, with another member of staff, a young person in their contact visits with family. The young person has complex needs and requires management of their behaviours. Experience is preferred but not essential to this role as you will be part of a team. Job Title:          Support Worker (Children & Young People) x 2

£9.81 per hour inclusive

Part Time – 4 hours every Saturday (Temporary Contract based around the needs of the young person)

Job Profile

You will be required to work as part of the team to deliver a high standard of care which meets the individual needs of the child both socially and emotionally. You will be required to build a positive relationship with the young person, who may present challenging behaviour, and to safely meet their physical care and management needs.

Experience and Qualifications:
Although not essential, previous experience of caring for young people with behavioural and emotional difficulties is desirable.

You will be required to have effective computer and IT skills.
