Catholic Care is a faith based charity which has been providing services to anyone who is disadvantaged, vulnerable or marginalised across West and parts of North Yorkshire for over 150 years. We work without prejudice and support families and individuals of all faiths and none. We also employ people of all faiths or no faith at all.
As a Catholic charity our mission and values are based on Catholic Social Teaching, which focus on matters of human dignity and common good in the community. They guide us on the way we live our lives amidst the challenges of modern society.
Our values of Care, Compassion, Community, Dignity, Equality and Justice are not just words on a page, they are what inspire us and form the basis of everything we do in our working lives.
We have created a series of films which showcase our work and the values led approach we follow. In our first film we see a glimpse of our Adult Learning Disability Service where we have one residential and 10 supported living homes. Here we focus on the ability of the people we care for and support, promoting independence and achievement.
