Staff, volunteers, people we care for and support, Trustees and friends came together on the evening of the 24th November to celebrate the Catholic Care Christmas Party at the Met Hotel in Leeds.
Guests, arriving in party dress, were welcomed into the beautifully decorated hotel with a Prosecco drinks reception and those attending felt an instant Christmas glow as they walked through the doors into a magically lit dining room with tables adorned in beautiful Christmas decor.
Carol Hill, Director of Catholic Care, welcomed all the guests attending; Trustee, Maureen Fletcher, kindly said a children’s grace as “so much of the Charity’s work is with children and young people”.
Guests enjoyed an excellent three course meal followed by coffee and a mince pie. The Christmas raffle was a huge success with over 20 prizes kindly donated including luxury hampers and a selection of wines and spirits.
The hotel DJ provided music for the rest of evening and seemed to enjoy the party as much as the guests, who danced the night away enjoying all the Christmas favourites.
The evening raised £530 for the Charity’s hardship fund. A big thanks to all those who donated prizes for the raffle and of course all of those who joined us for this special celebration.
