Lucy Irvin works for Catholic Care in the charity’s work supporting refugees and asylum seekers but when the coronavirus struck Lucy’s work dried up. Lucy has a heart of gold and still wanted to help people in need and she has really found her niche. Lucy now offers additional support to one of our homes for adults with a learning disability in Skipton. “This wonderful lady” as the homes describe her, visits 3 afternoons a week and spends time with each of the tenants. She will take them on an individual walk, spending quality time with each one, obviously observing social distance. Baking with the lady of the house is a real treat and they have developed a real friendship. Lucy also makes everyone a cuppa and spends time doing arts and crafts. Lucy you are a real ray of sunshine.
