Catholic Cares Gianna Project opened its doors to families in need across the Diocese in 2011. Since then the demand has increased for both equipment and baby items and support for those facing complex challenges. On Tuesday 8th November colleagues, families and supporters celebrated the relaunch of the project with its new name ,Gianna Baby Bank Plus’. in recognition of the two main elements of the work. Firstly we have the extensive range of baby equipment and goods kindly donated to us for our baby bank from our supporters around the Diocese and then the plus element refers to the extra social work support we offer our families in need. The relaunch felt like a real celebration of achievement! Some of our wonderful families joined us to share news and stories and eat amazing cake kindly donated to us by Cakes for Kids Bradford! We were delighted to welcome our supporters from The Royal Bank of Scotland who arrived with bags of donations for mums going into hospital and bags for new arrivals too. Also Baby Gianna and her parents Kim and Beth were able to join us, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our relaunch than having baby Gianna with us meeting and greeting everyone with her beautiful smile! Thank you to all our supporters for your continued support!
