Job Title: Community Development Worker – Huddersfield

Salary: £28,193 pro rata

Location: Huddersfield – 6 Hours per week.

Overview of Role

We are looking for a Community development worker who will support the running and the development of the activities that our communities find so extremely enriching, keeping their mind sharp, their body strong and spirits high in a safe and assured environment that is welcoming to all.

Our community development workers are empathic, personable, and patient people who are able to build trusting, positive relationships with those they support.

They have

  • Strong interpersonal skills for establishing relationships and supporting the needs of their volunteers and communities.
  • Strong organisational and observation skills for monitoring the needs of the people they work with
  • Are proactive and able to develop initiatives that address concerns within their community
  • A patience for helping others and working through their physical, social, or emotional issues
  • Excellent time management skills for coordinating one’s daily activities
